Our client is a culinary artist running a budding catering / personalized meals service in Mississauga/Toronto. He approached us needing a full range of services that we pride ourselves with.
Starting with just “Kitchen 701” as his company name, we started by getting the essence of his culinary art, business objectives, and essentially “the look and feel” of the business; both currently and later on.
The idea I’ve implemented behind the logo was innovative and future-thinking, I would say. First, the logo is circular; meaning it’s omni directional. The intent later is that you can apply this logo on several materials like cake’s cardboard base, on a personalized tissue, or food packagings. Functionally, the logo is also planned and meant to use only black so that it’s theme-able for holidays and occasions and so that it’s easy and inexpensive to print since we expect a lot of printing for packaging. Design-wise our client was looking for a proper, sleek, contemporary, haute cuisine, and high class branding. Black definitely embodies these traits.
One of our client’s requirements is that we need to create business cards as well. Aside from design reasons , we intended the unusual portrait style to actually dual-purpose as a branding mechanism.
One of our client’s specialty is cakes (pastry). He then delivers this in plain white cake boxes. Our client then staples the business card on the bottom right to create a branded, clean, and high quality packaging that was easy, simple, and cost-effective to do.
Later on the consumers can then recycle the box and remove the business card and keep it for later reference.
We definitely provided more focus and service to the materials since this is not just a digital product/business.
Finally we’ve developed a website for our client. The website reflects all the design aspects and business intents as mentioned above. The website was built on a WordPress platform to allow our client to easily change and update content. Our client is active in instagram with promoting his works so we made sure to integrate and automatically pull content from instagram to his website.
On top of the web design and development. We’ve helped our client improve his instagram account and provided some marketing guidelines to further improve his activities. We’ve taught our client to use and analyze Google Analytics and we’ve made it a point to integrate and leverage Google My Business for our client in order for him to have better promotion especially in the local area.
