(have patience when loading it. It’s a free heroku app; it’ll be expectedly slow to load at first)
Quick web app I built that’s Euro 2020 and Copa America games inspired. Built using React/NextJS.
The logic of the app is not complex: have players (black dots) load, and have them draggable.
Apart from the usability of this app, these are the things I focused on the development side:
- Proper inheritance and management of state between react components
- Building web apps that are responsive (e.g.: originally it was pixel-based, so if you downsize your screen the pitch we re-scale but the dots will stick to where they are on the screen (not relative to where they are on the pitch)
- More importantly, I wanted to experiment and learn CI/CD with Gitlab
- Currently does not support touch events yet; focusing on testing and devOps first
